About the Event

The Battle for Jefferson presents a hypothetical situation. If the Federal forces had prevailed in their confrontration with the Confederate army at Mansfield, Louisiana and taken Shreveport, their next target would be the second largest port in Texas: the river port of Jefferson in east Texas. Can the Rebels keep the Union troops out of Texas, or will the Federal army succeed in planting the flag in Texas at last?
