On this page we have listed some of our favorite camp recipies. All of these dishes were cooked in home kitchens and in army camps during the civil war. Some are very basic, intended to make the most out of scant army fare. Others are more elaborate, home-cooked favorites just like mother used to make. We invite you to try them at home, or better yet, with us on the battlefield!
